Wolfe Tones ‘On The One Road’ to Harrisburg!

 

Ireland’s legendary balladeers, The  Wolfe Tones, make their first Harrisburg appearance for a special show at Ceoltas Irish Pub on February 20th, 2012.  Having just returned from a World Tour taking in the Ireland, mainland Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai and Canada, Harrisburg will experience one of Ireland’s best loved and most prolific live groups!

First taking to the stage in 1963, The Wolfe Tones have collected every accolade possible to them including receiving the Freedom of the cities of New York and Los Angeles, selling out New York’s prestigious Carnegie Hall and London’s Albert Hall, the list is endless.  Despite limited airplay in Ireland for Irish ballad music, it’s a testament to The Wolfe Tones popularity that they continue to pack venues after almost five decades on the road.

With plans already being put in place for a very special 50th Anniversary celebration in 2013, The Wolfe Tones continue to remain at the very top of entertainment in Ireland after 49 years!

The group continue to have a very large fan base in the U.S, and have always enjoyed a large and enthusiastic support from as far back as 1967 and their first performance in the United States.  Given their longevity on the music scene, The Wolfe Tones fan base now spans generations, with their songs and ballads proving to be as popular and as relevant as ever.

The Streets of New York, Irish Eyes, My Heart is in Ireland, God Save Ireland, all their hits are still performed with pride and passion, as only The Wolfe Tones can!  Always creative, fans can also expect to hear newer ballads taken from the group’s new album release, Child of Destiny, a release which is already heading for platinum status in Ireland.

Ceoltas Irish Pub in Downtown Harrisburg PA

Ceoltas Irish Pub opened for Business on November 5th 2005 at 310 North 2nd Street in Downtown Harrisburg. In June 2008 "The Raftery Room" opened on the second floor, a Dining room with full Bar designed to accomodate all types of Partys. We have installed a 100 inch pulldown screen where a presenter can project the contents of a laptop with surround sound audio.
